Management Accountant and Analyst
Matthew joined CICRA in November 2017. He is a Chartered Accountant, having trained with KPMG in Jersey. He worked in their audit and advisory practices, undertaking a range of projects involving mergers and acquisitions as well as liquidations and restructuring.
After Matthew graduated from the University of Oxford, where he specialised in Ancient Greek Literature and the Philosophy of Language, he was granted a commission in the Royal Marines. He undertook two operational tours of Afghanistan before returning to Jersey to undertake accountancy training.
More recently, Matthew spent time as a professional yachtsman; he engaged in engineering and delivery work as well as a long term engagement as the captain of a private yacht, in which capacity he sailed from Jersey to the Tuamotus in French Polynesia.
